When Opportunity Doesn't Knock

I love this tweet from    +LovePop Cards .   The quote from Milton Berle is spot on!
"When opportunity doesn't knock, build a door" -Milton Berle
It often reminds me that you have to make your own change if you feel you are doing the same thing over and over again and not getting the results you want. It is not always the easy way but it will make you stronger and possible help others find their opportunity as well. Waiting for something to happen doesn't always work, you have to be there, be ready and most of all want it. Create your own path. Change happens but not without you at the helm to steer into the wind.

SeaBags

How cool is this??!
There is a company that recycles  old sails and turns them into fashionable tote bags!
They have a nice variety of styles and colors to choose from including custom designs! The one thing that I loved about this was the fact they offer a chance for sailors to recycle their own sails and get a free bag from it. What a great way to preserve some memories and keep the environment in good shape at the same time! Kudos to seabags! I just may take you up on your offer one day. I have a few more days in the wind with mine still left.
Take a look at their featured article in the June 2015 Family Circle magazine.

Knotty7: Sail Date

If you cannot view the video click this link:

Capt. Kim and I had a great sail date yesterday (6/28/2015)

We sailed at a top speed of 7.1 kts at one point. It was a beautiful summer day around 85 degrees with a nice south westerly wind.

Found a nice spot to throw the anchor in at Ponce Inlet by the lighthouse and had lunch.

A summer storm rolled in right on top of us. Kim sat out in the cockpit at the helm watching to make sure we didn't drag or the anchor did not give way due to the winds.

It was set perfectly. The storm passed by and the sun came back out for our sail back to home port.

Cruising Fast and Furious

We were head to head with a fellow sailor when this pic was taken. Going nor thon the ICW from the Dunlawton Bridge back to Halifax Harbor.

We had only our One sail up and he had two sails and his motor going.
As a converted cruiser from a racing yacht, I am totally impressed.

Yes,  we are Fast and Furious!!!

Do Something...
